About Event Registration

In order to sign-up for one of our events, you must either be a member of Capital Area Family Naturists or have completed a brief telephone interview with us. See the Join Us page for more information.

When you register for a paid event such as a Rec Center party or sailing trip, you are making a commitment to pay. If you are unable to attend an event you have registered for, we ask that you cancel at least three days before the event or otherwise pay the amount due for that event.

Gender Balance at CAFN Events

CAFN will try to maintain a 60/40 percent gender balance in attendance at all of its events. If registration for an event exceeds that balance you may be placed on a waiting list until more members of the opposite sex sign up for that event.

Calendar of Events 2008

July 26th - Canuding

9:00am - 3:00pm

Come canuding (nude canoeing) with CAFN! We will rent canoes and paddle our way down an isolated stretch of river a few hours drive from Washington, DC. We’ll stop a few times along the way to eat lunch and to go skinny-dipping.

The canoe rental includes paddles and life vests and the outfitter will pick us up at the end of our trip and bring us back to our cars. You will need to bring your own lunch and snacks, water, and lots of sunscreen.

The cost of this event is $50.00 per canoe for members of CAFN, $55.00 per canoe for members of AANR or TNS, and $60 per canoe for non-members. A canoe holds two adults or two adults and one child. If you sign up as a single, we will try to match you with another single so you can share the cost of a canoe.

August 8th – August 10th - AvalonFest Music, Arts and Crafts Festival

Avalon Resort holds its Eleventh Annual AvalonFest Music, Arts and Crafts Festival in Paw Paw, West Virginia. See Avalon's website for details.

August 16th - Sunset/Moonlight Sail on the Chesapeake Bay

1:00pm - evening

Come sailing and skinny dipping with CAFN on an evening cruise. There’s room on the boat for up to eight people. The boat is a catamaran with sails and an engine. The captain is the owner of the boat and a member of CAFN. You need to bring your own food, drinks, and towels.

We will take off after lunch (around 1:00pm), sail awhile, swim and then find a good place to anchor for dinner. You can stay overnight on the boat if you choose to. We'll come back to port Sunday morning and anyone that's interested can have breakfast at the diner.

The cost is $37.50 per person for CAFN members, $42.50 per person for members of AANR or TNS (you must show your membership card), and $47.50 for everyone else. (“Moon” jokes will likely be provided by your fellow passengers at no extra cost.) See the Event Payment page for details.

August 23rd - Randall Williams at MAHESO

Join us as we visit MAHESO, in Davidsonville, Maryland, to hear our favorite musician, Randall Williams. See the MAHESO web site for cost and other details.

September 20th - Canuding
